Dr. Kanzoni N. Asabigi

Board Member

Dr. Asabigi is a Professional Educator serving as the Public Relations Officer. Dr. Kanzoni Asabigi is a retired Senior Public Health Advisor for the Detroit Health Department. He is certified in Public Health and a Diplomat of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. He has held executive-level positions in private, non-profit, and government sectors for the past 30 years. He has oversaw the delivery of essential public health services to the Detroit Health Department and was instrumental in the reconstitution of the Health Department post municipal bankruptcy. Dr. Asabigi is known as an innovator who engages the community. He spearheaded is also known for improving the delivery of quality health services and using alternate managed care delivery systems to contain rising health care costs while enhancing better health outcomes.

Education
Dr. Asabigi received his Ph.D. (Community Health) from Walden University in 2009, Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of South Florida in 2000, specializing in Health Care Administration. He earned his Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Michigan in 1989 in Epidemiology, and Medical Doctor (M.D) in 1985 from the University of Bucharest Medical School, Romania. He is an author/co-author of several articles published in peer-review journals.

King James Azortiba

Board Member

James Azortibah King serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Ghana’s Teachers and Educational Workers Union, TUC (Hall of Trade Union). James is a competent, charismatic, and forward-thinking political aspirant, whose rich experience and expertise in development and leadership is coupled with educational and moral backgrounds serving the people of the Northern Regions. His primary drive is to foster accelerated growth, improved intercommunication technology, and rural developmental projects that liaise with local and international partners and networks.
Having been in the parliamentary race of the National Democratic Congress in 2012, he has deep knowledge and experience of the political landscape of Ghana and is committed to UTAP’s vision and drive to build practical development for semi-arid Africa. James is a founding member of UTAP and plays the critical lead in financing, accounting, and auditing on all resources committed for the project.

Lilia Li

Board Member

Lilia has a significant background in the development, strategic management, and sales operation of Information Technology enterprises. Through her extensive involvement of more than 23 years of experience in the IT industry with Unisys, she has been involved in different roles from Sales, Marketing, and Sales operations. In the Sales Operation role, Lilia was engaged in the Sales Process, supporting area sales leaders on plans and forecasts, driving sales culture on strategic client business plans. Lilia Li is helping in strategy and global outreach through an advisory role.

Dr. Alex M. George

Board Member

Dr. Alex M. George has been in the computing field since 1990. He possesses immense insight, including research in network design/implementation, systems reliability, and systems availability. Dr. George has worked on various open-source collaborations, including designing a Java-based Online Bidding System, and PHP components for different content management systems. Dr. George’s vast knowledge and volunteering spirit in the project is extremely appreciated.

Dr. Joseph D. Ramsey

Board Member

Dr. Ramsey is an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Computer Science, Wayne State University since 1997 – 2010. Dr. Ramsey also worked as the Department of Information & Technology Manager for the Detroit Water & Sewerage Department. Prior to joining the Detroit Water & Sewerage Department, Dr. Ramsey was a Consultant in Medical and Business Systems, representing IBAX in a partnership of IBM & Baxter Pharmaceutical for about four (4) years. Dr. Joseph D. Ramsey has extensive experience in various infrastructure projects ranging from water/sewerage constructions, utility industry computing environments, accounting/financial Systems, medical and business systems, including capital projects such as Secured Controls and Data Acquisitions (SCADA), Customer Information Systems (CIS), Meters, Oversight Construction & Engineering, etc.

Advisory Chair

Anne is a retired Restaurant Manager/Owner in inner London. Her successful business responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability, and quality goals.

Chief Jacob K Mbah

Advisory Chair

The traditional chief and head of the Arigu community. Chief Jacob has been in the regions district educational space as a teacher and educational administrator for more than 40 years. Apart from having degrees in Education and Public Administration, Chief has been involved in both the political and community development/advancement for many years. He is highly educated and an experienced traditional leader in the evolving Africa leadership space, where innovation is taking shape across the continent.
