Communal Capitalism

Community capitalism is an approach to capitalism that prioritizes the well-being and sustainability of the entire community, not just the lucky few. The African villages are built on a communal premise and harnessed to help make agro-businesses that emphasize entrepreneurship and capitalism or ‘community capitalism.’

Based on recent views in the United States, there is some growing awareness by citizens across the political spectrum that the Laissez-faire model of capitalism is fundamentally flawed. By reframing the debate around how we can leverage the positive aspects of capitalism to strengthen our communities, the hope is that the Africans can move beyond politics and towards a collective action plan at the district or village level.
